A Nyílt Struktúrák Művészeti Egyesület (OSAS) következő kiállításán a geometrikus művészetek második korszakától induló törekvésekből mutatunk be néhányat öt magyar és öt osztrák művész alkotásain keresztül. Közöttük sok közös vonást fedezhetünk fel, jóllehet, mindegyiküket más-más probléma izgatja, más-más gondolkodás és megoldásmód jellemzi. Közös például a rész és egészre vonatkozó, Kieslernél és Vasarelynél teoretikusan is megalapozott felfogásmód, amelyben a rész, mint tovább már nem bontható egység az egészre vonatkozó minőségeket hordoz, a mű az összetevők szoros egymásra vonatkoztatásával jön létre. Közös a formának az organikus és a geometrikus közötti szintézisként való elképzelése. Ugyancsak közös a témák rendszerelvű megközelítése és a természetes geometria vagy a matematika konstruáló elvként való alkalmazása.  Bár a bemutatott művek nem mindegyike színes, valamennyi művész számára fontos a fény színt, formát, teret, mozgást, vizuális élményt és interpretációt befolyásoló hatása. Valamennyiüket szigorú forma- és eszközhasználat, a választott téma interdiszciplináris megközelítése, a műfaji határok tágítása vagy a több műfaj közötti szabad közlekedés jellemzi.

The forthcoming exhibition of the Open Structure Art Society (OSAS) will feature some of the endeavours starting from the second phase of geometric art through the works of five Hungarian and five Austrian artists. Between them they have many mutual traits, though they are each attracted by different problems and characterized by different solutions and ways of thinking. For instance the approach relating to the part and the whole - elaborated in theory as well by Kiesler and Vasarely – is mutual. The part, as a no longer divisible unit, bears the qualities relating to the whole, the work coming into being through the close inter-reference of the components. Their notion of forms as the synthesis of organic and geometric is also common to them all. Another mutual trait is their approach to themes via systems, and the application of natural geometry or mathematics as a constructing principle.

Though the works on show are not all coloured, the effect of light influencing colour, shape, space, movement, visual experience and interpretation is important for all the artists. They are characterized by strict use of form and means, an interdisciplinary approach to the chosen themes, expansion of the borders of genre and the free passage between genres.
